Our tour of Berlin took us all over the city.

But first, some views from the train.

Here are some photographs of places on our tour:

Alexanderplatz, where we saw tulips that had been imported from the Keukenhof, where we were just a few days prior.

Brandenburg Gate :  was built  in the late 1700's.  It was a part of the Soviet sector of Berlin after WW II, and the gate was sealed.  It was opened again in 1989.

Fernsehturm (television) Tower, the second tallest structure in Europe, unique because it is in the middle of a city.  It is located in Alexanderplatz.

The KaDeWe:  Kaufhaus des Westens, Berlin's mega-department store, and the biggest in Europe.  As good as Nordtrom.

Unter Den Linden :  The place to 'stroll', it starts at the Brandenburg Gate.

Kaiser-Wilhem-Gedächtniskirche:  Bombed in 1943 during WW II, it was rebuilt in 1961.  It gets its nickname  the lipstick and powderbox from its appearance.
